II Corinthians 10:3-5
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
Our battle is not with our bodies, it is a spiritual battle in our minds. Behind every problem and circumstance in our lives there are spiritual principalities moving physical things to try and take our eyes off of Jesus and mess up our lives. The battle is too be fought in the "power of his might", not in our own strength. We must put on the "whole armour", not just part of it, so that we "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil". Satan knows our weaknesses. He knows what buttons to push. That's why we could never stand in our own might, and our earthly reasoning and resources will not work on the devil. Satan is looking for an opening in our armor.
Ephesians 6:10-18
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"
Romans 8:26-27
"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

We hope and pray that every visitor will take the time to listen to this special message by Dr. David Harrison on this subject. It's so important! Below are some notes taken from the message available by clicking the armor icon on the left:
We are wrestling against the authority of this world. In Hebrews it tells us we are made lower than the angels. The fallen angels are the spiritual princes (demons) of this world When Adam sinned, Satan robbed Adam of the title deed of earth and the earth was cursed, making the Devil the ruler of this world. But we who are redeemed are the sons and daughters of the King of Kings, and we can have victory if we fight in the "power of his might".
"Loins girt about with truth"--If you don't have truth, you cannot stand. It is the essential building block for victory. Everything in your body depends on the strength of your loins (lower body). Just reading or even memorizing the Word of God is not enough. It must be read in a Spirit of prayer and submissiveness and applied to our lives on a daily basis. The truth applied and made real in your life brings about a change in your life. "Breastplate of righteousness"--This is the breast plate of Christ's righteousness. (Our righteousness is as filthy rags.) It is the positional righteousness that we have through the blood of Jesus. When God sees us, he sees the blood that Jesus shed on Calvary to pay our sin debt and regain the title deed that Satan stole from Adam. "Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace"--when truth becomes a part of you, and you are righteous in the righteousness of God. We have comfort, peace, confidence and protection to stand in His righteousness This is the comfort of the gospel of peace. The Gospel is offered to all and therefore, these shoes are one size fits all. "Above all, taking the shield of faith"--not only protects you, but it can protect others. We need to pray and have faith for others to be protected in the battle not just ourselves. We need to soak our shields in the Water of the Word of God so that it can quench the fiery darts of Satan. "Helmet of Salvation"--protects our mind with the assurance that we belong to Him. When the battle is raging we can always come back to one truth, "I know that I belong to Him. I know I'm saved." "Sword of the Spirit"--He started out with truth and He's finishing up in truth. The word used for Sword in this scripture is not just a single weapon. It's plural, a storehouse of swords. We need to study the Word so we are familiar with the inventory of the storehouse and know where to go get the sword we need to defeat the enemy at a particular time in a particular battle. "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit"--The key here is "in the Spirit" (finding the will of God and agreeing with God about what the Holy Ghost has already put in your heart is the will of God.) When we are in spiritual conflict, we don't really know what we really should pray for within ourselves. The Spirit makes intercession for us, so that we can get the help we need in the heat of the battle. The Spirit knows our mind and our need and he knows the mind and the will of the Father and He's in contact with Jesus who is making intercession for us with the Father. The Spirit and the Father and Jesus are One.
